New Artist: Kaitlin Brito
A big warm welcome to Kaitlin Brito (@kbrito_art), the newest addition to the Jacky Winter roster!
Kaitlin is a Peruvian-American award winning illustrator and New Jersey native. She illustrates images with a ✨sparkle✨, using careful linework, eye-catching colors and a playful sense of nostalgia. She loves collaborating and her favourite projects are “Ones where the client and I are able to bounce ideas of each other and get the most unique result that couldn’t have come from just one mind.”
When she’s not drawing, you’ll probably find her exploring an antique store, looking for vintage trinkets, beautiful ceramic pieces or perfect grandma sweaters to add to her collection.

Show opening: 'Best Before' by Karan Singh
Best Before by Karan Singh is opening at Jacky Winter Gallery this Friday, 15 May 6-9pm, and you're invited!
Best Before looks at forgotten everyday objects reimagined as relics; things never intended to last, made permanent and larger than life. Despite their modest role, these objects possess a striking visual clarity. Their forms are shaped entirely by function, yet they carry a quiet elegance born from efficiency and engineering. By preserving them, the work highlights their beauty and significance.

Gildlings goes to Bologna!
Gildlings has just touched down back in Aus after a whirlwind trip to The Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy and some time spent visiting our publishing friends in London! Pasta was consumed, folios were reviewed, connections were made and a whole host of brilliant conversations are (hopefully!) about to turn into exciting next steps.
This trip was assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body. Big thanks to Creative Australia! 📚
