In one of our biggest group projects to date, Jacky Winter worked with Australia Post and United Make to curate and create artwork for each level of the Australia Post Support Centre in Burnley. Each artist's creative brief was linked to their home postcode, allowing them to tell a visual story that connected with their place and history with an identifiably Australian brand. In this show, everyday objects—a tube of toothpaste, a matchstick, a teapot—are meticulously arranged to create moments of surprise, curiosity, and delight. Her compositions are precise, yet the materials she chooses are often inexpensive or overlooked. At the heart of her work is contrast: the tension between the ordinary and the extraordinary, the rigid and the fluid, the playful and the refined.
