Meet Gildlings, our new Illustration-led Literary Agency!

This is a good one.

To quote the great poet DJ Khaled, it's another one! We're so delighted to launch Gildlings, our brand new standalone illustration-led literary agency, which also joins our tradition of giving things names that are slightly annoying to spell or say (it's Gildlings, not Gildings or Gillings, no matter what auto-correct might tell you). Read more about Gildlings below, as well as Mogu Takahashi's new show opening this Friday at Jacky Winter Gallery, and of course, our regular round up of work from our talented artists! ✨🔥

Meet Gildlings!

Gildlings is an illustration-led literary agency brought to you by Jacky Winter, and a venture we're so excited to finally flip the cover on! Lead by our inaugural Literary Agent Naomi Perry, and built to champion visual storytellers, Gildlings gives artists a dedicated space to grow their careers in the world of publishing. From illustrators to picture book creators to graphic novelists, we're here to build lasting careers and support artists cover to cover, so they can tell the stories they’re most excited about. Read the latest and bookmark the website here: gildlings.com and give us some love on socials here: @gildlings ✨🧡

I Draw. I Daydream.

‘I Draw. I Daydream.’ by @mogutakahashi is opening at @jackywinter.gallery this Friday 30 May, 6-9pm!

Since she landed in Melbourne just over a week ago, Mogu has been busy painting pieces for the show (fuelled by flat whites and patting as many dogs as she can) and creating a new body of work which embraces the playful naivety that first defined her practice.

We’d love for you to come and see what she’s daydreamed up (dogs welcome)! Join us for the opening or pop in during gallery hours. Exhibition runs until 28 June, 2025. Full details at the link!

Lauren Martin keeps it LUSH 🐛🌼

@laurenmartin_studio takes us LUSH break from the city streets!
In this new collab, Lauren’s signature anthropomorphic characters feature on a reusable lunch tin with matching sticker sheet for customising. Perfect for anything from picnic treats to sewing supplies or just give some life to your kitchen counter.

Recent work highlight: Georgia Perry

Recent explorations from the rainbow world of Georgia Perry (@gpez)! We can feel our mental tensions easing up already.

Brolga Takes The Met

@brolga’s characters were right at home on Fifth Avenue in the hero illustration for this year's 'Teens Take The Met!' event held earlier this month.

Hoi Chan celebrates Earth Day with Apple

In celebration of Earth Day earlier this month, @hoichandraws partnered with Apple to illustrate a new cover for the Transit Card in China. Hoi’s design is now available to users in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Changsha, Xi‘an, Nanjing, Ningbo, Dainan, and Qingdao! 🌸

Elin Matilda Andersson paints Kellyville Village

A new mural by @_elinmatilda for Kellyville Village shopping centre in Sydney, featuring native animals with a lot of colour (and personality). Fun fact: Elin’s mural design was inspired by wildlife drawings from the students at the local primary school! Thanks to @donnemurals for assisting with the install - view the sweet BTS clip at the link 🌈

Benja Harney crafts a kids workshop for Van Cleef & Arpels

Benja Harney (@paperform) was commissioned to design and host two children’s workshop activities for luxury French jewelry maison Van Cleef & Arpels (via @theworldof), to accompany it’s travelling exhibition 'The Art of Movement' when it landed in Sydney last month. Inspired by dance and nature, Benja taught kids how to make a paper theatre with 2 tiny dancers or a flourishing woodland mask, and in his words, "The kids were genius. A roaring success!!"

Ok - we're dancing off! We'll be back with another one soon! 💃
