The Jacky Winter Newsroom ·

Does every artist need to become a content creator?

...plus some of our best recent work of the year!

This week, we're sharing our latest Dear Jacky post which explores the topic of artists becoming content creators (if you've ever struggled with whether or not to take the leap, or have just found the whole creator space kinda alienating - this one's for you). There's also plenty of bright and colourful new projects featuring fairy coins, wiggly mountains and a (literal) breath of fresh air.

Dear Jacky #9

In our latest Dear Jacky article, Agent and Producer Delaney Cavanagh discusses the rise in social-forward illustration briefs and the pressure artists might be feeling to build an online presence. It also includes some deeper insight around our last 12 months of developing and launching Jacky Winter's new creator-led agency, Capital Virtues, which aims to support artists who have chosen to be part of this online space. Slip this under our pillows

We’re absolutely frothing this Tooth Fairy Kit illustrated by @ellenporteus for The Royal Australian Mint! Capturing the magic of the tooth fairy tradition in Ellen’s modern, bubbly style, this kit comes complete with reusable case, toothbrush and a special $2 coloured coin which Ellen helped design.

Refresh your senses

@madebyradio collaborated with Pink Salt and Le Pub to bring Marvis' global ‘Refresh Your Senses’ campaign to life, animating artist Stasser's character designs and transforming iconic Marvis flavours into playful sensory worlds.

A cup on a mission

The @brolga x Fressko Cause Cup is here - merging Fressko’s thoughtful design with Brolga’s artistic style, $2 from every cup sold will be donated to Mission Australia.

Brolga says, “These are items that are stylish, sustainable, and built for real life. After chatting with the team, it was clear their products and ethos are all about moving forward - feeling confident and free. With that in mind, I started sketching characters that embodied that energy and verve."

Welcome to Mount Wiggly

Say hello to Mount Wiggly! @zac.fay’s new collection with Halcyon Nights features giggling mountains and funny faces and we're going to need these in adult sizes too....

Hope springs!

Hope springs in @_elinmatilda’s new mural, installed at the Barnardos head office in Sydney. Says Elin, “It’s been beyond awesome to collab with people who work hard to make every child’s life count. The artwork itself was inspired by my own daughter and her way of seeing and finding joy in the littlest things.”
